A Meeting Was Held Between the Delegation of Turkmenistan and the Emir of the State of Qatar

On March 16, 2025, a delegation led by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, was received by the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the esteemed President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, to the Emir of Qatar. Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani expressed gratitude to the Turkmen side for the kind wishes and, in return, extended his greetings to the leadership of Turkmenistan. He also wished that the righteous deeds, fasting, and prayers performed during the holy month of Ramadan be accepted by the Almighty. Highlighting the strengthening of bilateral relations, the Turkmen side emphasized the significance of the telephone conversation held on March 3 of this year with the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan. In addition to constructive bilateral cooperation, the effectiveness of collaboration in multilateral formats, particularly within the framework of the United Nations, was underscored. Notably, it was mentioned that on December 12, 2025, an International Forum on Peace and Trust will be held in Ashgabat to mark the 30th anniversary of the country’s neutrality.
