The final stage of the "Woman of the Year" contest took place
The final round of the "Woman of the Year" contest, organized by the Central Council of the Turkmenistan Women’s Union ahead of International Women’s Day, was held at the capital’s Center of Public Organizations. In the concluding stage, participants who had won the qualifying rounds in the regions (velayats), as well as in the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, competed in 8 nominations. The main goal of the contest is to showcase the abilities and talents of women, preserve the sanctity of the family as the foundation of Turkmen society, protect motherhood and childhood, instill in the younger generation a love for national spiritual values, foster a sense of patriotism, and promote a healthy lifestyle. Based on the contest results, the jury announced the winners in the respective categories. In the nomination "For Outstanding Organizational Skills Demonstrated in the Era of the Revival of a New Epoch of a Powerful State," the winner was Ogulshat Durdyeva, director of School No. 27 named after Berdymukhamed Annayev in the Gokdepe etrap of Ahal velayat. In the nomination "For Preserving and Developing the Art of National Handicraft in a Powerful State," the winner was Mengli Doliyeva, a resident of the Karakum etrap of Mary velayat. The best in the nomination "For Promoting Spiritual Values and National Cultural Heritage Worldwide" was Merjen Seyidova, an actress of the "Gurjak" folk theater of the culture department of the Makhtumkuli etrap in Balkan velayat. In the nomination "For Achievements in Raising Children," the victory went to Myahri Shyhyeva, a primary school teacher at Specialized Secondary School No. 3 with in-depth English studies in the city of Arkadag. In the nomination "For Work in Strengthening the Country’s Defense and Lawfulness in Society," the best was Aygazel Annamyradova, a psychologist at Military Unit No. 20020 in the city of Ashgabat. In the nomination "For Contribution to Rural Development," the winner was Hurmagozel Myalikova, head of the "Dayhan Zenan Yhlasy" peasant farm in the Sakarchage etrap of Mary velayat. The best in the nomination "For Contribution to the Development of the Market Economy and Entrepreneurship in the Country" was Bagtygul Meretgylydjova, an entrepreneur and resident of Dashoguz city in Dashoguz velayat. In the nomination "For Merits in Continuing the Tradition of Mentorship," the victory went to Myahriban Ergeshova, a teacher at the children’s art school in the Danev etrap of Lebap velayat.
