The International Scientific and Practical Conference "Sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex"

The International Scientific and Practical Conference "Sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex" was held at the S.A.Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University. The International Scientific and Practical Conference "Sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex" was held on the digital system. It was attended by representatives of relevant scientific and educational institutions and higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Turkey, Uzbekistan and the Republic of Belarus. A wide range of issues related to the exchange of experience in agriculture were discussed during the forum. As the speakers noted, under the wise leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, along with other sectors of the national economy, the agricultural sector is continuously developing and its export potential is being strengthened. In this regard, great importance is attached to the effective use of land and water resources, the introduction of modern technologies and the latest scientific achievements. In order to ensure the sustainable development of the industry in accordance with the requirements of the time, Turkmen scientists and specialists are carrying out appropriate work on the introduction of scientifically based crop rotation and increasing the volume of products. In this regard, cooperation with the countries of the region and the world, as well as with relevant international organizations, is of great importance. Exhibitions, scientific conferences and business meetings held in Turkmenistan with the participation of foreign representatives are clear evidence of this. During the conference, it was emphasized that environmental well-being is an essential condition for ensuring food security and food abundance. In this regard, the necessary measures are being taken in our Homeland within the framework of the National Climate Change Strategy and the National Forest Program. Turkmenistan, which was one of the first to adapt the Sustainable Development Goals at the national level, is actively involved in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. By supporting targeted international efforts, our country advocates the development of balanced solutions to problems in this area for the future. A vivid proof of this is the development of effective cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UN and its specialized agencies, including the Food and Agriculture Organization. The introduction of the principles of the "green" economy concept into the agricultural sector is an important requirement today to ensure sustainable development and environmental well–being. Global sustainable food supply is one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and one of the main challenges of our time in a rapidly changing global economy. As a result of the implementation of comprehensive measures in this area, under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the production of high-quality, environmentally friendly, competitive food products is consistently increasing. In recent years, Turkmenistan has been paying special attention to the widespread introduction of modern agricultural technologies, including precision farming systems and automation of relevant operations. This allows manufacturers to manage resources more efficiently and reduce costs. It was also noted that due to the far-sighted state policy pursued by the President of Turkmenistan, the legislative framework and industrial relations in the agricultural sector are constantly being improved. In addition, financial and economic incentives for agricultural producers inspire them to new labor achievements. Along with this, the state provides preferential loans for the purchase of agricultural machinery and equipment from leading global companies. Regular scientific research and development in the agricultural sector and the training of highly qualified specialists are important conditions for the sustainable development of the industry. As a result of the hard work of scientists and agricultural specialists, as well as farmers, crop yields have increased, and the country's reliable food base has been provided. This not only ensures food security, but also helps to adapt to changing conditions while maintaining an ecological balance. In this regard, the speakers expressed confidence that the current forum will strengthen and expand mutually beneficial ties for the successful solution of upcoming tasks. Then the international scientific and practical conference continued its work in the sections "Agronomy, horticulture and ecology", "Economics and management in agriculture, humanities, mathematical sciences, agroengineering", as well as "Food industry, innovative technologies in water management, animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, light industry".
