Turkmenistan has strengthened the basis for the development of light industry

The economic policy of Turkmenistan is aimed at achieving productive results. In particular, at the moment, light industry enterprises of the republic are demonstrating high performance. This was reported by CentralAsia.news. The Turkmenabad cotton spinning factory sells half of its products to domestic consumers, and exports the rest to Russia, Turkey and Belarus. The shift manager of the Turkmenabad cotton spinning factory, Gulbadam Matnazarova, noted that the enterprise produces yarn, which is the raw material necessary for the production of various fabrics for textile industry products. Since the beginning of 2024, production growth rates have exceeded 100 percent. The head of the trade union of the above-mentioned factory, Oguljan Rakhimova, noted that a large number of orders were completed in 2023. The company planned to produce products worth 42 million manats, but in practice exceeded the plan by more than 10 million manats. Rakhimova emphasized the state’s care for the company’s employees. In this regard, she expressed gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the created conditions for the development of the textile industry. The head of the trade union organization of the Mary garment factory "Yenish" Guncha Akmuhammedova emphasized that the production workshops are equipped with modern sewing equipment, the effective use of which contributes to the achievement of high performance. The staff works tirelessly to maintain production rates and ensure high quality products.
