Presentation of a collection of poems by Mahtumkuli Fragi translated into Armenian took place in Ashgabat
On October 12, the presentation of a collection of poems by Mahtumkuly Fragi, translated into Armenian, took place at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The event was attended by the President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturian and members of the delegation of the friendly country, as well as some heads of the education sector, faculty and students of the university. On this occasion, an exhibition was launched here, which presents works of national fine and decorative arts, as well as museum exhibits. The works of artists and sculptors made a great impression on the participants of the event. The musical accompaniment gave the celebration a special flavor. It should be noted that the International Forum "Interrelation of Times and Civilizations – the basis of Peace and Development", held on October 11 under the chairmanship of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, became a historically significant event aimed at widely popularizing the work of Mahtumkuly Fragi. At the same time, during the meeting between President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturian, the head of the Turkmen state was presented with a collection of Fragi's poems translated into Armenian. As the participants of the presentation noted, Mahtumkuli's creative legacy occupies a special place in world literature. In his poetry, principles such as peace, brotherhood, kindness, and humanism are proclaimed universal values, serve as a bridge for the mutual enrichment of cultures and the establishment of friendly relations between peoples. The Turkmen land has presented many great personalities who have made a great contribution to the treasury of world literature. Their creative heritage has not lost its value today. Mahtumkuly Fragi occupies a worthy place among the outstanding literary figures not only of the Turkmen people, but also of the world due to his philosophical teachings and poetic works. The work related to the comprehensive study of his creative heritage is widely supported by prestigious international organizations and in different countries. The translation of the poet's poems into Armenian is a vivid confirmation of this. Currently, under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, measures are being successfully implemented to study the literary heritage of Mahtumkuly on a scientific basis and popularize it in the world. The poet's thoughts and ideas reflected in his work are of great importance for the moral education of young people. Fraga's views on the future are the spiritual heritage not only of the Turkmen people, but also of all mankind. In the modern historical period, the importance of Mahtumkuly's poetic heritage has gone beyond the national framework and has become an integral part of world literature, was emphasized in the speeches of representatives of the Turkmen side. Thus, the translation of the poems of the great classic poet of Turkmen literature into Armenian became another step in strengthening cultural ties and friendship between the peoples of the two countries.
