Rice harvesting has begun in Lebap velayat

In 2024, a rich rice harvest was collected in Lebap velayat, which is the result of carefully organized work at all stages of growing and harvesting this important food crop. Within the framework of the year "The Storehouse of the Mind of Magtymguly Fragi", significant successes were achieved thanks to the work of rice farmers who worked hard to achieve high indicators. This agricultural year, 10,200 hectares of rice were sown in Lebap velayat. The average yield is 46.47 centners per hectare, which allows us to expect a total yield of 47,400 tons. Particular attention was paid to proper care of crops in accordance with agrotechnical standards, which contributed to the formation of a rich harvest. In the largest farms of the velayat - Sayat, Chardzhev and Danev etrapakhs - rice is sown on an area of ​​3,140, ​​3,080 and 2,160 hectares, respectively. These districts make a significant contribution to the overall production volume, ensuring the successful harvest. An important aspect of preparation for the season was the maintenance and repair of agricultural machinery, including combines and rice mills, which guarantees uninterrupted harvesting and processing of the crop. The state also supported agricultural producers by increasing the purchase price of rice by 1,500 manat per ton, which encouraged farmers to work more productively. These measures allow us to expect a successful completion of the harvesting campaign and the achievement of the set goals for harvesting rice in the Lebap velayat.
