Turkmenistan's GDP growth rate was 6.3 per cent in the first seven months of this year

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on 30 August to sum up the results of work done for seven months of the current year, as well as to consider issues of socio-economic development of the country. Addressing the members of the Cabinet of Ministers, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted with satisfaction that the results of the seven months of the current year demonstrate the success of the programmes being implemented. The GDP growth rate of 6.3 per cent over the period under review is a vivid confirmation of this. In the industrial complex this indicator is 3.6 per cent, in the transport and communications sector - 7.1 per cent, in services - 7 per cent, trade - 7.8 per cent, construction - 9.3 per cent, agriculture - 7.8 per cent.
