Turkmen customs officers exchange experience with Uzbek colleagues
The delegation of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan visited Tashkent to study the Uzbek experience of creating a Customs Clearance Center, as well as to get acquainted with the principles of operation of customs posts. The members of the delegation visited the Customs Clearance Center, established in August 2023 under the Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The complex includes a Data Processing Center, a remote electronic declaration post, a call center, targeting and risk management departments. The information system is integrated with the databases of foreign departments, local ministries and departments, entities engaged in foreign economic activity, as well as airlines. The remote electronic declaration post promptly processes cargo customs declarations, as well as requests received by the call center of the customs committee via the hotline "11-08" and through the website of the department. The Targeting and Risk Management Department analyzes data from 50 customs information systems and 3 information systems of the World Customs Organization, as well as data from more than 30 departments and customs of foreign countries, assesses risks, and remotely monitors the activities of all customs posts. As part of the visit, employees of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan visited the Arkbulok and Chukursay Tech Office foreign economic activity posts, as well as the Yallama border post. They familiarized themselves with the organization process and the operating principle of customs facilities.
