The farmers of Ahal and Lebap provinces of the country have successfully fulfilled their contractual obligations

Harvesters of two more velayats - Ahal and Lebap - have won a remarkable labour victory. The toilers of the fields have fulfilled their contractual obligations on wheat delivery, having poured more than 400 and 310 thousand tonnes of grain into the bins of the Motherland respectively. Reporting on this, the Turkmen farmers expressed sincere gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the great care for the development of agriculture and the created conditions for fruitful work of daihan. As it was noted, rural workers are provided with technical services, mineral fertilisers, high-quality seeds and chemical means of plant protection against pests at preferential prices. The state regularly buys modern high-performance machinery from the world's leading companies, timely payments are made to producers for the products. All this has generally contributed to the achievement of high results during the current harvest. It should be noted that farmers of Balkan and Dashoguz provinces were the first in the country to fulfil their contractual obligations. Increasing the volume of production of various agricultural products and ensuring food abundance in the country is a strategic guideline and the most important priority of the State policy aimed at strengthening the economic power of Turkmenistan and improving the welfare of the people. The systematic increase in the purchase price of wheat and preferential loans granted to daihan associations, tenants and entrepreneurs for the purchase of agricultural equipment and the financing of other expenditures serve as a good incentive for increasing the labour productivity of farmers and their interest in cultivating higher and higher yields. In addition, within the framework of the National Programme on transformation of social and living conditions of the population of villages, settlements, towns of etraps and etrap centres for the period up to 2028 and other large-scale socio-economic programmes, major investment projects are being implemented in all regions, which radically change the life of Turkmen daihans. All this allows our courageous farmers to achieve such high results.
